Hi, I’m Michael Hardinges, and I am the Club Welfare Officer and FA Charter standard co-ordinator for Welland Valley FC.
My role at Welland Valley is to oversee the implementation of all FA approved and club based child safeguarding procedures and/or guidelines. I communicate the importance of safeguarding across all of our teams, managers, committee, parents, carers and throughout the club.
Amongst many other things, this involves keeping track of our coaches qualifications and CRC checks, and making sure they are all kept up to date. As a Charter standard community club, we aim to provide a safe, friendly and enjoyable footballing environment for all of our players.
The role of the Welfare officer is primarily as a point of contact for anyone; either directly or indirectly linked to the club, to raise any safeguarding questions, queries or concerns as they may arise. Safeguarding concerns can arise from many different areas within football so, if you feel that you have a concern or would just like to chat about something that you have noticed, I can be contacted anytime using the following details.
Please feel free to come and see me at training or on Match days, or to contact me via email firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone on 07791421999 with any issues, questions or concerns that you may have.
